2008_07280012 * Wendelville.  Fire prevention trailer.  Contains a kitchen and two bedrooms.  Fills with simulated smoke to practice how to escape.  Doors are heated to 100 degrees to simulate hot doors and how to test to determine if it’s safe to open.  Door remains cool at the top.  Sliding hand down the door, the heat increases. 2008_07280013 * Gasport Chemical Hose.  Ladder is 75 feet.  1200 gal per minute with a 700 gal holding tank.  They created a Junior program and are looking for recruits in the age range of 12 – 18.  The goal is to train them to become firemen at age 18.  They can call 772-7751.  The firemen meetings are Thursday evenings.  There is another meeting the 1st Sunday each month at 2 pm.
