The Lockport Monday Night cruise started May 10 and runs through Labor Day. It was not published in Clutch Artists this year. However, it has been promoted on the radio, LCTV, and other publications, including once in the Lockport Paper. We apologize if the advertising did not reach some people, but hope the word has gotten out to everyone by now. Also, any cruisers needing more info can call any of the Optimist club members, some phone numbers posted on this web sight. Looking forward to a great 2010 season, and many thanks to all the cruisers who have come out and supported us over the past 11 years.

Never saw this advertised in the paper. What a shame---missed some great nights. We look forward to it every week.

Hello Lockport Cruisers! Spring & summer are right around the corner and it's time to usher it in with the perfect music to bring folks together & warm them up with that West coast sound! We are The Real Gone and we are looking to play your cruise nights. We are a 'surf rock' band. We play classic surf rock/rockabilly a la Dick Dale, Duane Eddy and The Ventures (much of which has been rediscovered with younger audiences with the classic Pulp Fiction soundtrack). This genre seems to play well to a wide demographic and simply creates a fun vibe. We've played various car shows in the area over the past 2 years and we have the skill to play reserved for those events where background music is needed as well as the chops to fully entertain as the main focus bringing youthful vigor to a classic genre. Keep us in mind for any bookings for your upcoming events. Bio information can be found on our myspace and facebook pages and speaks for itself. Thank you for your consideration and we hope to hear from you soon! Become a fan on Facebook/see our events & more: - The Real Gone Bret Figura Phil Lazzari Becca Mhalek Jeff Bella

To our generous friends, Your recent donation to the Camp Hope program is so greatly appreciated. I am continually humbled by the amount of support & caring the community lends to us. Our program is geared toward helping young people identify and share their feelings about grief and begin the healing process. Carefully selected volunteers who encourage an exchange of feelings, ideas and support through discussions, arts & crafts and recreational activities facilitate groups. We strive to make the camp experience as meaningful as we possibly can for every young person that comes our way. With donations like yours, we are able to offer this program free of charge to WNY families who have children in need of this remarkable program. If you or anyone in your group knows of a child between the ages of 7-13 who has suffered the loss of a loved one, please refer them to our program. Any child in the WNY area can apply for camp. This year the dates are 8/27 - 8/29. We use the wonderful facilites at Camp Kenan in Barker, NY. An amazing team of volunteers, including counselors, nurses and staff from Niagara Hospice are utilized throughout the weekend. Again, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for your donation! May your kindness always bring you fortunes of peace! JoAnne Ruppel-Frawley Volunteer Assistant Director Camp Hope Niagara Hospice 716-622-3484
